THE MINUTES OF THE 23rd ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE HONG KONG SOCIETY OF WARGAMERS HELD ON SATURDAY 3rd OF APRIL 2003

Chairman:     Andrzej Cierpicki
Secretary:  Jeff Herbert
Member Coordinator Lawrence Ho
Treasurer: Peter Hunt

The day started with the members arrival at 12.30 pm and some initial setting up.   There was a good turnout of 25 members and the curry luncheon commenced at 13.30 hours.

At 13.50 hours the Secretary called the meeting together.

The Chairman gave his report and stated 2003 had been a good year for HKSW with 43 paid up members.  He advised that due to the increased security at the venue, members would shortly be issued with membership cards.   He further stated it was the intention to extend the club’s activities to two meetings per month.  The first Saturday at the present venue and the third Saturday in Kowloon Bay at a venue being negotiated by the Secretary.   The second meeting would however be subject to a three-month trial.

The membership was asked to vote on the proposition and the vote was carried unanimously.

The Treasurer gave his report as shown.  This was proposed, seconded and voted unanimously by the membership.

The Member Coordinator then addressed the membership.

The Chairman called for any new contenders for the committee to stand for voting.   There being no new contenders the Chairman asked the members to vote for or against the existing members of the committee to continue in post.   This was again carried unanimously.

Neil Burnett proposed a vote of thanks to the committee which was carried.

There being no further business the AGM was closed and the games began.
