MINUTES OF THE 23rd ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE
HONG
KONG
SOCIETY OF WARGAMERS HELD ON SATURDAY 3rd OF APRIL 2003

The
day started with the members arrival at
12.30 pm
and some initial setting up. There
was a good turnout of 25 members and the curry luncheon commenced at 13.30
hours.
At
13.50 hours the Secretary called the meeting together.
The
Chairman gave his report and stated 2003 had been a good year for HKSW with
43 paid up members. He advised that due
to the increased security at the venue, members would shortly be issued with
membership cards. He further stated it was the intention
to extend the club’s activities to two meetings per month.
The first Saturday at the present venue and the third Saturday in
Kowloon
Bay
at a venue being negotiated by the Secretary.
The second meeting would however be subject to a three-month trial.
The
membership was asked to vote on the proposition and the vote was carried
unanimously.
The
Treasurer gave his report as shown. This
was proposed, seconded and voted unanimously by the membership.
The
Member Coordinator then addressed the membership.
The
Chairman called for any new contenders for the committee to stand for
voting. There being no new
contenders the Chairman asked the members to vote for or against the
existing members of the committee to continue in post.
This was again carried unanimously.
Neil
Burnett proposed a vote of thanks to the committee which was carried.
There
being no further business the AGM was closed and the games began.
